Olympic Reward

  From now to 16th September the club will be asking members to nominate people who they consider should get a ticket to attend a session at the Games. Olympic Hockey Tickets – applications invited!

The club has 28 tickets for one of the preliminary hockey sessions at the Olympics. Each session includes 2 games – could be mens or women but not both – and all 28 tickets will be allocated to sit together at the same session. City of Peterborough Under 12’s in action

City Juniors invited to Regional Performance Centres

The City of Peterborough Juniors are well represented in the invitations to attend Junior Regional Performance Centre training over the summer. A total of 16 boys and 4 girls have been asked to attend six days of training over the summer, all at the JRPC centre based in Bury St Edmunds. City youngsters help Cambs take East title

Five members of City of Peterborough helped Cambridgeshire Under 13s complete an unbeaten season and clinch the East Region title. Euan Gilmour, Oscar Sadikot, Archie Spears, Nick Reddy and Brendon Andrews helped them come out on top at Bedford. After a 0-0 draw with Essex, Cambs raised their play with five successive victories. 148 attend the hugely successful inaugural Presentation evening!

Just 6 weeks ago, not a ticket had been sold. On Friday night, 148 people from the club came together to celebrate the club’s achievements and pick out individuals from the Veterans to the Juniors for playing their part in one of the club’s most successful seasons for years. CoP Veterans are National Champions!

CITY of Peterborough’s successful season got even better when their veterans secured the club’s first national title. Goals from Shayne Andrews and Wayne Humphreys secured a 2-1 victory over Worcester in the EHB Men’s Masters Over 40 Plate Final. The men’s firsts and thirds, as well as the women’s firsts, clinched promotion this year and this national success has made a great season even better.
