CoP HC started off this 7 a side competition at Bretton Gate wanting to have fun and possibly sneak a win. The first game saw CoP HC playing the eventual winners Rutland. The City of Peterborough Juniors are well represented in the invitations to attend Junior Regional Performance Centre training over the summer. A total of 16 boys and 4 girls have been asked to attend six days of training over the summer, all at the JRPC centre based in Bury St Edmunds. Five members of City of Peterborough helped Cambridgeshire Under 13s complete an unbeaten season and clinch the East Region title. Euan Gilmour, Oscar Sadikot, Archie Spears, Nick Reddy and Brendon Andrews helped them come out on top at Bedford. After a 0-0 draw with Essex, Cambs raised their play with five successive victories. On Friday night, 148 people from the club came together to celebrate the club’s achievements and pick out individuals from the Veterans to the Juniors for playing their part in one of the club’s most successful seasons for years. CITY of Peterborough’s successful season got even better when their veterans secured the club’s first national title. Goals from Shayne Andrews and Wayne Humphreys secured a 2-1 victory over Worcester in the EHB Men’s Masters Over 40 Plate Final.
