About the League
We will be hosting our Summer Mixed League which is open to local fellow clubs to enter teams. The league will hopefully include 8 teams, which we hope will be 2 from Long Sutton, 2 from Spalding, 2 from Wisbech, 1 from Pelicans and 1 from Peterborough.
The sides are mixed and we are looking for the league to be inclusive of all levels of club players, the rules are normal mixed league rules with 5 ladies on the pitch at all times and ladies taking penalties and short corners. To demonstrate how open we hope the league will be, our teams will only have 3 mens first team players on the pitch at any time and must include at least 1 player from our mens 3rds or 4ths team as well as one player from our ladies 2nd team on the pitch at any time.
Dates, Times and Details
The league will run for 7 weeks starting on Tuesday 18th June, playing on Tuesday and Wednesday Nights with the final night of the league being Friday 2nd August. Teams will play one game a week on either the Tuesday or the Wednesday, with exception of the last week when 4 teams will play on the Friday Presentation Night. Each game will be 25 minutes each way with a 5 minute turnaround, Game 1 will start at 7pm, Game 2 will start at 8pm. Following the last game on Friday 2nd August ALL teams are invited back to our clubhouse for a Barbecue and the presentation of trophies in what we know will be a family friendly environment.
Entry and Match Fees
The cost to enter per team will be £25 and match fees on the night of play will be £25 per team. The tournament will be carried on our website and local newspapers will be reported to each week of results. Please complete your details below and send it with the entry fee to the address above.
