Club Day – sat 7th Sept

Starting at 11.00am and running through until 5pm, all our teams will have a game of hockey against another side in the club.  This gives the captains the chance to see some of our new recruits and youngsters who are progressing up the club in action to make sure they are placed at the right level. 

Alongside this the bar will be open all day, and the Jacobs family (thanks Judith!) will be providing the hot food van for top quality burgers, hot dogs etc from Moor Farm Meats. 

The social element is important so our newest members can get to know us, and our older members can remind themselves who they play alongside each week. 

And the day will round off with a fun penalty competition in the same vein as the EHL – 10 seconds starting from the 23m line to score a goal past the keeper. last man standing will win one of the new FHG (Field Hockey Game) t-shirts kindly donated for the purpose by Simon Buckly who is part of the consortium working to bring the game to a games console near you
