Mixed Mini Hockey Festival – Saturday 21st April 2018

Every year at the City of Peterborough Hockey club we host a weekend of fun for adults (The Brummitt Festival), this year however with the success of the Mini Hockey section, we are aiming to hold an ALL DAY mixed event for under 8’s, 10’s & 12s to celebrate their achievements and introduce them to the fun side of hockey, including fancy dress.

Therefore we would like to open the invite to teams for the 1st annual Peter Leaton Cup for Children (Named after our very own Peter Leaton) being held at the Peterborough Town Sports Club on the 21st April 2018.

The day will be split into 2 halves with the 1st half starting at 9.30am, with teams of 6 a side will be playing 2 x 10 minute halves.  We shall pause for lunch and then during this time we will then allocate a knockout style final until we have two teams of each age group playing each other in a winner takes all final from around 5.30pm.

Trophies and winners medals with be presented by a Special guest to each age group.  There will also be a trophy for the best dressed fancy dress team.

Music will be played throughout the day, with fun and games on the grass area for all ages to get involved in.

Refreshments will be available all day.

We shall be finishing off the day with a disco in the bar area for all those wishing to celebrate the day and for the parents to collapse with a cold beverage.

The cost per team of this event will be £25 per 6 a side entry, this is to cover the costs of the trophies, Pitch hire & Entertainment etc.

We hope your team / teams would be involved as it would be a lovely occasion to celebrate the children’s effort this year.
