Playing with a 4 4 2 line up and 2 subs
Neil Webb doubled up for us in goal as our regular keeper had to play up this week and we are short of keepers this week.
St Ives 3s are bottom of the league but we could not take anything for granted.
The Team talk again was just about keeping possession. The game started and it was clear that it was going to be a tough one.
St Ives 3s bolstered their side with an ex COPHC 1st team player who was playing his 1st game of the season.
This St Ives player dominated the midfield recieving and making passes that gave St Ives a distinct advantage.
We battled hard and after 27 minutes Simon Buckley got the first goal. After numerous scrambles with the ball in the D and some
great saves by the keeper we ended the first half 1-0 up.
Starting the second half with renewed energy on a hot humid day, after loads of pressure St Ives fought back and levelled
 the score at 40 minutes.
Not detterred boro continued to pressurise St Ives with chances from Phil Martin and Simon Buckley.
Eventally Simon scored another great goal from open play and took us to a 2-1 lead.
A slight disagreement between a player / umpire and waldo resulted in a Green Card for Waldo.
Boro hung on to then end to win 2-1. Neil Webb got man of the match and Adam Humphries took the shirts to wash.
