Report: CoP Men’s 5th XI vs Cambridge South 4s – March 01, 2025

Mar 1st 2025 v Cambs South 4s – red – won 3-2
Our set up back in our season format of 4 4 2 with the middle 4 in a diamond.
We started out with the regular team talk of win the ball, keep possession and pass away from danger to a team member.
Playing well and absorbing pressure the team worked the ball into the opposition D and got the ball to Buckley who slotted our
and his first of the day to make the score 1-0 after 20 minutes.
Under pressure and a rare mistake from the keeper and a shot deflected off Sams pad and into the goak to make it 1-1.
It stayed 1-1 until half time.
5 mins into the 2nd half Buckley scored his 2nd goal with an assist from Tom Wilson to make it 2-1.
Cambs South fought back and evened up the score with a open play goal , 2-2.
Undettered we kepted pressing and the pressure on and a through ball to Buckley and some great moves he slotted it into the goal.
The score line ended 3-2 . a great win and great team effort to put us 8th in the league with 20 points.
No cards this week for anyone.
