County Representation Success

With hockey on a break now until the new season starts in September, I thought it would be a good chance to look back at the success of City Of Peterborough youngsters with regards to representation at County level last season.

All three levels of County were well represented by the club at various age catergories.  In the JAC U15 Girls training squad we had Evie Jones Best and Josephine White.  At Boys U13 we had Jude Thompson and Samuel Richardson, boys U14 Joseph Richardson and then at Boys U15 we had Daniel Hughes, Rahul Singh, Lucas Thompson and Ben Wheatcroft.

Our most represented squad was JAC Academy with 26 juniors from the club.  The girls make up 10 of these with Jessica Broadway and Shelley Broadway at U13, Rosie Rule and Helene Wilson at U14, U15 was represented by Cariad-Sher Austin, U16 by Phoebe Ashby, Ellie Bolsover, Annie Howells and Georgie Richardson and finally U17 by Lara Wade.

Boys represention was at U13 with Thomas Dancy, Andrew Inskip and Jake Leeds, Tom Palmer represented U14.  U15 was Josh Heyworth and Alex Timson, U16 was Connor Butterworth and Ben Pearson.  Finally U17 was represented by Connor Blackett, Chester Hooper, Hamish Leeds and Sam Maryniak.

Final club representation was at the highest level of Performance Squad from Nathan Rozario at U15 and Luke Barkworth and Eddie Harper at U16.

Not all our success at County level comes from the youngsters though with Liz Dakin and Nikki Harris representing the Overs.

All of the above just goes to show what a promising future City Of Peterborough Hockey Club has with these youngsters progressing into the adult teams and is also a testament to the fantastic Junior set up at the club.  Lets hope this report can be replicated and is even bigger in a years time after another successful season.
