Friday evening Junior Hockey sessions restart

Published by on

Friday evening has for several years offered alternative sessions for our juniors who are unable to attend the Weds/Thurs sessions, or who would like some extra coaching.

We are delighted that from Friday 9th October, both our 5 – 6pm and 6-7pm sessions will be fully up and running, and overseen by our level 2 coaching team. All sessions are for boys and girls and cost £3 a week.

5-6pm is the time for school years 4-6, ages 9-11, with John Scholfield running the seesion, overseen by Neil Evans or Robbie Muir (our Australian import). In general this is for children who have had some experience at junior school or at after school clubs and who want to learn some more skills and play with other youngsters of the same standard.

6-7pm is for those who have started senior school so years 7 – 11, ages 11 upwards and who cannot attend the girls session on Weds at 6pm or the boys session on Thurs at 6pm. It is also aimed at those who have been at mini hockey but are not yet confident with a larger groups, or who have recetnly started playing hockey at senior school with no previous experience. It will be run by Adam Wilson, assisted by a number of other L1 coaches and juniors in the club.

We hope to see plenty of juniors enjoying learning on Fridays.
