Boys U16 & U18 EH games – Sun 6th March 2011
Sunday 6th March sees both U16 boys and U18 boys in action in the quarter finals of their respective competitions
The U16 Boys play away against top Northern side Ben Rhydding, based near Bradford, in a game where the winner will reach the finals weekend of the EH Boys U16 Cup. In the last round, CoP U16 defeated a Harleston Magpies side in the last round fielding 2 England U16 players, and whom Harleston viewed as their best team for several years, so the spirit amongst the Peterborough boys is very high.
The U18 Boys have a home tie against Southgate U18s in the last 8 of the EH Boys U18 Plate. Southgate HC is one of the founder members of the England Hockey League with their juniors coached by former GB player Jon Shaw so a cracking game is in prospect at Bretton Gate on Sunday afternoon.
