Junior Hockey Pathway
We have a long tradition of ensuring that our juniors are an inclusive part of the Club, and we have excellent support systems in place to ensure fun and effective learning of hockey in a safe environment.
Hockey is a fantastic way to keep fit, make friends and enjoy the numerous benefits of playing team sports - join us and start the journey!

Sunday Morning Mini Hockey Introduction to hockey. Beginners and young players attend this session every Sunday, developing basic skills, playing games and having fun! Ages 5 to 12 - Sunday 9.30am to 11am |

Friday Skills Session An additional technical session for developing specific skills. Each week there will be a focus on a different technical skill. This session is free to junior members, in addition to their normal Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday session. Ages 10 to 16 - Friday 5.30pm to 6.30pm |

Junior Girls A fun but serious session, designed to prepare young players for senior hockey and work on skill sets and game play. Leads to selection for Girls U14 and U16 teams. Ages 13 to 16 - Wednesday 6pm to 7pm |
Junior Boys A dedicated session for advanced skill development, fitness and match practice. This session requires good previous skills and will lead to selection in the Boys U14/U16 teams. Ages 13 to 16 - Thursday 6pm to 7pm |
Good progress within our junior sessions lead directly into training with our senior hockey teams. |

Ladies 3rd/4th Team We have many friendly, experienced players to Ages 13 upwards - Wednesday 7pm to 8.15pm |
Men's 6th/7th/8th Team We have dedicated junior development sides mixing experienced adults and juniors. This is an excellent support system for young players to develop and play hockey. Training happens once a week, with senior matches every Saturday. Ages 13 upwards - Thursday 7pm to 8.15pm |
Men's 3rd/4th/5th Team Success in our lower men’s sides leads seamlessly to our higher men’s sides, where more of a mixture of ages play, but the level of hockey is higher. Ages 13 upwards - Thursday 7pm to 8.15pm |

The end goal in a junior pathway in our club is to eventually play for our top teams. |

1st/2nd Team Hockey We play at the National League level for the Men’s 1st Team, and the top regional level for the women. The Men's first team play in National League East Conference, the second tier of National hockey in England. The Men's second team play in East Prem B, the second tier of regional hockey in the East. The Ladies first team play in the first tier of regional hockey (East Prem) and are looking to push for promotion to the National League to match the men. The Ladies second team play in the third tier of East regional hockey, but will push to go up during 2018/19. Ladies 1st & 2nd team training: 7pm - 9.30pm (Wednesday) Men's 1st & 2nd team training: 7.30pm - 10pm (Thursday) |
